Laboratory Testing
Laboratory testing encompasses the analysis of blood, urine, fecal matter, hair, and other bodily fluids in an attempt to gain a better understanding of the biochemical and physiological workings of the body. Combined with a comprehensive consultation and physical exam, laboratory testing can help paint a more complete picture of the patient’s underlying dysfunction. Although, not necessary in all cases, laboratory testing is often utilized in the more complex instances when a patient does not respond to a conservative treatment approach.
